The past for many of you involves like hurt, happiness, pain, trials, and ma.ny adventures. But how come for us we can sometimes forget the past but not forgive it? We as humans tend to shut up the hurt and pain that has happened. So many times we say oh we are just going to pretend those events didn't happen. Yet when something triggers a memory all this anger and bitterness surrounds us. WE tend to get angry at the past when we cannot change the past. We need to start forgiving. Why should we hold onto all the anger and rage. All it does is mold in our hearts and turns the good parts black. We hold stuff against others because we want them to feel the pain we felt when they hurt us. For what??? What is it for?? It isn't going to do anything for us in the end but just make us feel dirty and gross. We need to be a generation that forgives the past like Jesus has with us. It makes me think of the current event how that pastor wanted to burn the Muslim bible. I am agreeing with my pastor that is NOT the heart of Jesus. Jesus forgives and moves on and that is what that pastor should have done is forgive the past and just pray for the nation. We need to stop focusing all our thoughts on the past and look what is happening now. And how hungry this generation is for Jesus. Jesus isn't moving backwards he is moving forwards so shouldn't we do the same if we are Christian? Christian means Christ follower. God wants us to forgive so he can forgive us. Its a harsh thought but it is true. So my goal is to stop holding onto the past and just let it go. And God didn't mean for all this pain and hurt to happen in your life but God WILL WORK It all out for the good. And though we may not see it in the present we will see it sometime in the future. God is good and his love will remain forever strong. God Bless you all.
